Happy Hour
Sharon Adams, tenor, is originally
from Glasgow, Scotland, and travels extensively with her work for the
Microsoft Corporation. Sharon, also known affectionately as Shaz, was
married last year. It was a thrill for the quartet to sing
Nikki Blackmer, lead, has both bachelor and masters degrees in music. In other words, Nikki is a music geek! Nikki spends her time teaching voice lessons, as the music director at her church and directing a cappella joy chorus. A Connecticut native, Nikki now calls Bothell home, with her dog Abby. If you want to laugh at her usually hidden east-coast accent ask her to say the words “on” and “off.” Carol Vecchio, baritone, sings in a cappella joy chorus and is the assistant director. Carol is the only one of the group who has previously sung in a barbershop quartet. Centerpoint Institute, where Carol serves as Executive Director, inspires people to discover creativity and passion within their lives. Carol and her husband Dennis, live in Ballard with their 89 cats (ok, only 6 cats, but you’d definitely think it was more!) Erika George, bass, while the youngest member of the group, is also the most experienced barbershopper with fifteen years behind her. She is an associate member of Harmony Northwest Chorus. Erika spends her time working at Bank of America and is pursuing a realtor’s license. Phil, her husband, and Erika call Bellingham home. And, while it is a bit of drive for our rehearsals, Erika swears the drive down is worth it!
